The Truth About Eyebrow Tinting

It was a Friday morning during my lunch break and I made a quick call – DAN-ton ten six.
Kidding. That’s my Madeline, French teacher humor budding.
In reality, my brows were acting a wee more unruly than my manual tweezer could handle, so I needed a pro.
I called upon Twisted Scissors, the salon that just so happens to be on my street, to help me out in my plight.
I made the appointment for later in the day, just prior to the girls’ bus pick up. Huge bonus that there’s an hour between my end and their end times.
I walked into the salon, primed for a facial transformation. I never think I need a pluck – I do upkeep in between at home – and yet.
I’m always wowed.
As the woman was plucking away, she struck me with something I hadn’t heard before, “Do you want me to tint your brows?”
“Ahh … huh?” I inquired as I was in that uncomfortable position lying on the massage table.
She allowed for the pause, so I continued, “You can do that?”
“Yeah,” she said nonchalantly. “People do it all of the time.”
I considered her suggestion for only a moment, “Yeah, okay. Sure, go for it.”
At that point, I wasn’t a novice to brow changement. I’d used the billion dollar brows pencil for years, but this, this was a one time application. It was more than easy breezy. It was the same effect without the daily trail and error. I mostly liked the results of my brow pencil, but it could look a little wonky near the center sometimes.
So I thought, let’s do this.
After my appointment, I texted two of my friends with savoir faire, “Do you tint your eyebrows?,” I asked.
Both responded within minutes, “Yes.”
How did I not know about this?
We need to talk about more about what enhances our look. I get that it may seem superficial, but really, talk is good.
I tinted my brows that day and it instantly changed my face. For the better.
It darkened all of the baby hairs on my brow and unified them. This upgrade added definition and framed my face.
The color usually lasts five to six weeks. The salon says three to four, but I can stretch it with my pencil.
I have tinted my brows for the last six months and I don’t imagine turning back to my billion dollar brow pencil. I love the results of tinting better.
How do you care for your brows?
Ciao.
